HackUP is the University of Portland’s premier collegiate hackathon, designed to be the catalyst for a new era of innovation in our city. While the Pacific Northwest is a known tech powerhouse, Portland’s unique intersection of creativity and engineering has often been overlooked. Until now. HackUP is the first event of this scale to bridge that gap, bringing together the brightest student minds from across the PNW.

We aren't just looking for Computer Science majors. We are inviting artists, business students, healthcare majors, and scientists to the table. We believe that AI shouldn't just be built by those who can code it, but by those who can imagine its most impactful applications. By merging Portland’s legendary creative spirit with cutting-edge AI tools, we’re proving that the next great tech revolution won’t just happen in a lab. It will happen in a community.
